Earlier this week, the LegalRev team sponsored the 9th annual SEMpdx Rooftop Networking Party at Portland’s Hotel deLuxe. It was hot, but we all survived with cold beverages, fresh fruit, pizza, and a plethora of enthusiasm. In this post, we’ll outline the highlights and tell everyone what’s next for both LegalRev and SEMpdx.
LegalRev as the Presenting Sponsor
LegalRev has been an active member of SEMpdx for several years. Darin Fenn and Rachel Schmidt both serve on the board and have lended their expertise, community connections, and multitude of resources to help the organization deliver on its mission. As presenting sponsor, we brought in event sponsors and helped with ticket sales. Most of all, our team engaged event attendees and conveyed our excitement and passion for the search engine marketing industry in Portland. Our booth featured a high striker, challenging everyone’s strength and willingness to swing a heavy mallet in the name of digital marketing. Introducing the 2017 Charity of Choice
As per custom, the rooftop party was our opportunity to announce this year’s SEMpdx Charity of Choice recipient Schoolhouse Supplies. This is another fantastic organization committed to providing the materials students and teachers need for the upcoming school year. They stock and operate the Free Store for Teachers, where any teacher employed by Portland Public Schools, David Douglas and Parkrose School Districts, and to a broader network of teachers and school communities through their Volunteer Voucher program can come and get the supplies they need at no cost to them.
Over the next few months, SEMpdx and LegalRev will support Schoolhouse Supplies’ outreach and fundraising efforts as experts in the digital marketing field. The goal of our efforts is to increase the organization’s visibility, as well as volunteer and donor participation.
