Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! We hope you’re all taking some time to spend with your loved ones and recharge like we are doing. This week’s Thanksgiving edition blog post features five things for which we are thankful as this year begins drawing to its close. Let’s get to it!
1. Flexible Paid Ad Schedules
As Googlephiles, we’re always testing the full range of Google AdWords features to better target the clients you want. One of our favorites is the Ad Schedule. This feature allows us to choose which days and hours we run ads (and which to exclude) in order to optimize the number of eyeballs on each ad. This helps us spend your budget wisely and maximize your investment.
2. Full-Season Releases on Netflix
When we’re not generating new leads for our clients, we like to indulge in some heavy binge-watching of our favorite shows. Fortunately, Netflix is keyed into how the majority of people consume television these days and gives us every episode all at once. With that in mind, we’ll probably be re-watching the entirety of Stranger Things 2 this holiday weekend.
3. Voice Search
Sorry to plug Google again, but we can’t help it. We love that voice search has gained momentum and is moving the industry along with it. It’s so easy and convenient to talk our phones into showing us the information we seek. It also removes the guesswork of trying to pick optimal search terms and lets us simply search in the same manner as we speak in everyday life.
Other major companies and apps are quickly adopting voice search functionality. Apple’s Siri and Amazon’s Echo are great examples. One of our favorite depictions of this audible advent is SNL’s “Amazon Echo Silver” sketch, which we highly recommend watching someplace where you can freely laugh out loud.
4. Easy Charitable Giving
It always feels good to give back, especially when it’s seamless with something else we’re already doing. That’s why we’re so thankful for the Amazon Smile Foundation. This organization invented and operated by Amazon lets returning customers designate a nonprofit of their choosing and donate 0.5% of select items’ purchase prices to the nonprofit at no additional cost to the customer. Charitable giving has never been simpler!

Last and certainly not least (quite the opposite, actually!) the team at Upsource is thankful for all of our valued clients across the United States.
